Have I mentioned how nice my boys looked the other night? Emily and Anna looked beautiful, too!The ring bearer and the flower girl, is there anything more adorable?Jackson didn’t crack much of a smile down the aisle, and Emmy was so careful with her one petal at a time routine. They both did fantastic.And, now, for a little trip down memory lane. This handsome man was a ring bearer for his aunt when he was seven, too. Look how small he is…Come to think of it, we were all a bit smaller in those days! My boys really do clean up nice!

Happy Thanksgiving

We have Thanksgiving dinner at our house every year. Mom wanted pictures afterward and we all gave in. For some reason, I never take pictures during holidays, so I stole her memory card.I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. We sure did.

Goofballs on Ice

We were in Destin this weekend, and they had the skating rink open. Between Scott’s leg and my back, Christian couldn’t convince anyone to join him. Lindsay saved the day. It was her first time, and Christian’s second. They eased around the rink a few times holding on to the rail getting acquainted, and reacquainted, with the ice.Before long, they were zooming, and spinning all over the place!Two and a half hours later, we were able to drag them off the ice. I think we’ll be going back soon! Lindsay, I hope you are home and ready!

Tonight, we’ve been sitting around like it isn’t Halloween or something! Here are a few more pictures from when we were celebrating. Some of the kids came over a little early, so I had to get a group pic. Also, another one more of my football player and Commander Fox peeking an eye out at me.While we were all waiting on trick or treat time, a werewolf rode up. ADORABLE!Then, he stopped and waved. Even more adorable.Nothing could compare to this cuteness. She has the sassy witch pose down perfectly!Last, but certainly not least, Ian, Orion and James were here, all suited up and ready. It just isn’t a party until Sponge Bob shows up!

Grandparent’s Tea

In 2nd grade at Ocean Springs schools they have a Grandparent’s Tea, and it was finally Jackson’s turn. Mam Maw was there, too, but we didn’t break out the camera in time. Not that I got a chance to take any pictures, Scott and I were too busy helping with the food. Luckily, my mom had her camera. I stole this picture from her. Jackson was so excited to have his grandparents in his classroom, all the kids were. It was standing room only and was a huge success. What lucky kids I have! Thank you Grandparents!

My Uncle that’s Really my Cousin

We went down to Mom & Dad’s today to visit with my Uncle Dennis. I know he’s not really my Uncle but my cousin, but that just doesn’t sound right so I changed it. I’m allowed. It was a short visit, but it was really good to see my Uncle/cousin. I swear, he hasn’t changed a bit!

Making Up for Lost Time

Ian, Orion, James, and their parents are down for the weekend, and it has been the perfect excuse for catching up on our pool time. We’ve had two days full of water gun fights with cousins, and the boys have loved every minute of it. Can you tell?James is out… PEACE!

As I’ve been sitting here patiently waiting on rain that will never come, I’m looking at pictures of the weather we had almost daily while in Destin. It’s like weather porn. Is there such a thing? My grass would say yes!Our scrimmage game got rained out tonight. Funny, not a drop at my house. Seriously, not one single drop! Just thought I’d share a little random.I also was checking out this fantastic picture (that I did not take) of my little sister, little brother, and Step-Mom. Not sure where they are, or what they are doing, but don’t they all look pretty? Wondering if those smiles have anything to do with rain… probably not.

Happy Early Father’s Day!

We took Daddy to breakfast this morning for an early Father’s Day celebration. I know it was for him, but I love me some Bayview breakfast! The only bad part was having to drag the boys out of bed at a reasonable hour. Notice Christian is texting mid-picture, but that is a post for another time. The boys filled out a questionnaire about Paw Paw that I wish I would have copied. They had to guess his height and weight, and tell all kinds of things about him. It was really cute. Jackson almost nailed his height and weight, but Christian was a little off. Not to worry, Christian had Paw Paw’s favorite thing dead on… making Maw Maw happy. How awesome is that?Scott took all the pictures, so I had to snap one of him. Now you know where Christian gets his texting abilities. Only kidding. It probably took Scott 10 minutes to send a 5 word text. He has gotten much better. It would help if he’d get a cell phone that wasn’t from the 90′s!Happy Father’s Day Daddy. I’m sure I’ll see you on Sunday, but we had fun celebrating early, too!

5 Things I Love About Being a Mom

1. These kids are funny. Seriously, they make me laugh every day, and even if you know nothing about me, you have to know that I dearly love to laugh. Especially at inappropriate stuff.

2. I was born to be a baseball and football Mom of boys. Give me cleats, orange dirt, football pads and lawn chairs any day over toe shoes and tutus.

3. It’s not always about me anymore. Watching my kids open presents is way more exciting than getting any. Watching fireworks suddenly became less interesting than watching my kids mesmerized by fireworks. Most of the time, it being about them is pretty awesome.

4. Seeing a smaller version of your husband makes you love him even more, and makes you feel pretty lucky that you ended up with such a great person to reproduce.

5. And last, but not least, having kids, not only gives you a new appreciation for your parents and how they feel about your children and all they do with them, but it really brings home all the things they did and felt when you were a kid. Now I know how much my Mom loves me, and I can only imagine how much she must love my kids. There are way more than 5 reasons, but those are all really good ones! Hope you had a happy Mother’s Day!
