Finally, A Girl

While I can’t claim this adorable picture (my sister took it), that won’t stop me from showing it off. It’s not often I get to post something so sweet, pink, and girly! I haven’t seen Josie in awhile, and I can’t believe how much she has changed. No more newborn, moving right on into babyhood. Isn’t she the cutest thing ev-AH?? I’m hoping to see her in real life in a couple weeks.

I posted my favorites yesterday, but I forgot this one. I couldn’t explain what I wanted them to do for me, but luckily my Mom understands my incoherent ramblings and she took over here. I’m glad she did, because I love it. Josie is just so perfect! Okay, I’ll post all the black and whites first because they are all moody and dark, and I’ll end with some color so I can try to put you back in a good mood.Nothing like Momma holding her sleeping baby, and sleep she did!You can see how small she is with Joey holding her. I know it’s all dark and shadowy, but I love it anyway.Ryleigh was done taking pictures at this point, but she wasn’t over getting some lovin’! Okay, on to some color.Josie looks like Joey here, minus the tongue, crossed-eyes and ducky jumper. Joey loves me right now.Every time I look at a picture of Ryleigh I have to share with someone how pretty she is. If you have seen or talked to me in the last two days, I’ve either told you about it or showed you. See what I mean?? I just can’t get over those eyes and how expressive she is. Our families sure do make gorgeous babies. I’ll try to quit bragging about that soon.

We went to Hattiesburg today to visit Joey, Katie and Josie and took a few newborn pictures. This is my first time taking pictures of a little one this age with anything but a point and shoot. I’ve only had a chance to edit a few, and I can’t wait to do more. She was so sweet, squishy and sleepy… all the things I had hoped she would be. I think we have the perfect model on our hands.I even got to try THE pose. I don’t know how the real photogs do it without three sets of hands to help! It only took us a few tries, but she finally got settled and worked her adorable little baby thing she has going. Isn’t she the most perfect thing ever? If they lived closer, I’d be over there every day holding her and taking pictures. After we were done harassing Josie, we got Katie’s neice to come over for a bit to get a few pictures of her. I could have taken pictures of Ryleigh all day, too. She is just gorgeous. Thanks guys for letting me photograph your babies. I’ll have more soon.

Josie’s birthday today and I’m getting close to being finished, sort of. I came across a few of Mom & Donna that I had to share. I swear, Donna has had this look on her face since the moment Josie was born. Hell, maybe even since they told her they were having a baby, I’m not sure, but this picture almost captures all the emotions she had that day, and for that, I love it.Donna, still with the look, but she gets it honest. Check out the new GREAT grandmother, yes I said GREAT!! She’s not happy or anything. I love that I can see Katie back there while she is texting all of her friends to tell them the news. Last, but certainly not least, the star of that day, Miss Josie. I can’t wait to see her next week to see how much she has changed.

Josie Kate is finally here and she is absolutely perfect!Mommy did fantastic and is doing fine, baby is fine…And Daddy is already wrapped around someone’s finger.

Congratulations guys! She is absolutely gorgeous! A little gooey, swollen, and disoriented, but gorgeous all the same. I’m going to go to bed now! Witnessing a miracle is exhausting!

Bad to the Bone

Melissa and Eric had their baby yesterday, so that means that Joey must share his birthday. I don’t think he’ll mind. Evan Hardy is absolutely gorgeous, and Mom and baby both are doing great. I got to hold him today, but just so you know, I didn’t look at the back of his neck or else I would have wanted another baby immediately. What is it about newborns, or just babies for that matter, and the backs of their necks that makes me feel the need to breastfeed again? Gross, I know, but so true.

Congratulations Melissa and Eric, and welcome to the world, Evan! I know you will be worth the wait.

How in the world did Cole go from this little brand new tiny thing being inspected my his mommy at one day old, to this little chunk of cuteness in four short weeks? I have no idea.

Oh, and can I just say one more time, is that just little David Jones made over??? OMG, just slap a Roadhound jersey on him and we are good to go.

Sweet Cole

Nicole brought the boys over today and we took pictures of Cole all over the place. Cole is the first baby I’ve taken pictures of, except my own, with my trusty point and shoot. I was a nervous wreck, and these are my friends, lol. When I really want to take good pics, I can’t do it to save my life, oh, and I sweat profusely. What’s up with that? I had to steal some ideas from my friend Jeanelle of what to do with a baby. Thanks Jeanelle, you rock! I love her shots of babies in chairs, and turns out, that is my favorite picture from today. I think it’s kind of hard to mess up such a cute little man. He was very patient with us moving him twenty times and taking away his clothes, but there was NO way he was going to sleep for us. I don’t blame him, if someone did this to me, I would NOT be happy, much less asleep. He took it all in stride.He is his big brother made over. I’ll have to get some shots of them together next time to prove it. Nicole promised she’d let me try again soon. Doesn’t that sweet little face make you want to breastfeed something? Is that just me? Thanks Nicole for letting me play with your baby. Scott thanks you for providing me with plenty of baby time, too. I think he’s thinking it will get him off the hook. Here’s to hoping that works!!
