Hi, I am Christi, and I'm from Ocean Springs, Mississippi. You have stumbled upon our family scrapbook. If you meant to, it's nice to see you, if not, I apologize, it might bore you to tears. I hate being in front of the camera, but love being behind it! I am a momma, wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend, dog lover, chauffeur, wannabe computer nerd, technology junkie, tomboy, music lover, wannabe photographer, book reader, football watcher, class taker, gym quitter, Mac convert, Target & catalog shopper, homebody, and artist in my own mind. That pretty much sums it up. Any more questions?? Oh, and if you care, and it’s okay if you don’t, I shoot with a Canon 5d Mark II and various Canon lenses. My favorites are my 85mm f/1.2 and my 50mm f/1.2. Feel free to leave comments. They may or may not be back in working order. Thanks for stopping by!

My Very First Post…EVAH!

I have no idea what I am doing, or if this will even work, because, again, no idea and all. I wanted to start a blog, if nothing else, to keep a rough record of my family and its’ going ons. I am not, nor will I ever be, a professional photographer, but I LOVE to take pictures, ALL THE TIME, and I’m getting better at it…very, very, very, very….one more very, slowly, lol. My 8 year old son won a fishing tournament today. He has won it 3 years in a row now, and beat out some professional bream fisherman last year. He is so proud, as am I, and I hope to have pictures to prove it when he gets home. My 3 year old is sick to death of his mother and her camera, but still indulged me in a little photo taking just to pass the time on this dreary Saturday in April. I found some great light coming in the window of his bedroom and discussed everything from bugs to bodily functions to elicit a smile. I’m trying to teach myself photoshop, so it gave me something to practice on, and although I can’t say the results are great, because I’m not good enough to determine that, I liked them. Well, I’m off to lay on the couch with my 3 year old and hope no one screws with me.

Welcome! And these look like very sweet photos! You’re going to love blogging and the POTD thread/challenge. We have themes each week, and you can find the list on many of our blogs, but we’re all pretty casual about it. Sometimes we’re on theme; sometimes we just have fun with some other kind of photo. It’s just fun, a good chance to learn, and a great group of people!

According to your post… if doesn’t look like you’re new to this at all. You did great and the shots look just as a PROF. photographer shot them. You are way too hard on yourself. I should be talking b/c I’m the same way about myself. BUT seriously… you are a great photographer and the blogging is going to get better and better the more you play around, post, and explore. It’s addicting. I think of it as no different than journaling on paper. Good luck
